People involved with the Akron Area Intergroup had the inspiration to make the painting “The Man on the Bed” into a stained glass window. The finished project fills the  front window of the Intergroup Office and was done in time for Founders’ Day weekend, 2001. The Four Absolutes (Honesty, Purity, Unselfishness, and Love) are on the four sides, and the picture is bordered by sobriety medallions set into the glass that were contributed by local members. This is truly a work of love and dedication, and many people helped by adding a few pieces whenever they could. In the evening, with the light of the setting sun coming through the panels, it is breathtaking. If you are in the area be sure to stop in and see this along with the rest of the AA Archives.
