St. Thomas Hospital

St. Thomas Hospital

St. Thomas Hospital, where Dr. Bob and Sister Ignatia sobered up thousands of drunks, is located just a few blocks south of the Akron A.A. Archives, at 444 North Main Street.  Many recovering alcoholics were taken in the early days of their treatment to the hospital chapel, a beautiful and moving place to stop in for prayer and meditation or just a quiet respite.  Still an active medical facility, St. Thomas Hospital has been a good friend of Alcoholics Anonymous and welcomes visitors.
